James and the Giant Peach Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Summary

By: Roald Dahl

James is a small boy who lives with two terrible aunts. The first one is Aunt Spiker and she is very skinny. The other one is Aunt Sponge and she is as fat as a elephant! Both Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge ar very selfish and greedy! The two aunts beat up James, never let him play, made him work all day, and treat him badly.

But one day a old man came up to him and gave him a bag of magical things. He said “Whoever these things reach first, they will shower there magic on.” But when he was running back to his aunts’ house he dropped the bag and the magical green things got to a dead peach tree.

Soon a tiny peach sprouted from the top of the tree, But soon it got bigger and bigger!

Unfortunately, the two aunts got the idea to make the gigantic peach a tourist sight. On the first day they made a lot of money.

At night James snuck out to get a glimpse of the peach, but as he circled the peach he saw a small tunnel, big enough for him to fit, so he went in. When he first got in, he saw a grasshopper, a spider, a ladybug, a centipede, and a earthworm. They were all nice to him. Miss Spider made the beds and they slept after a glowworm put out his light.

In the morning the peach had grown so big that it was about to leave its tree. And when it did it flattened Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge. After that it landed in a ocean that was nearby!

But when the creatures found out they panicked! They thought they were going to drown, But when James persuaded them that they were floating, the Earthworm said they would starve to death instead. Then James had to point out that they were living in a peach!

After they ate some of the peach, a bunch of sharks came and attacked them! James got an idea, they could leave the earthworm out of the peach and then the seagulls would come down and the earthworm would go back in the peach and James would take a long piece of string and loop it around the seagulls necks. So they carried out the plan several hundred times while the sharks were nibbling away. When they finally got enough seagulls, they floated away.

They were very curious about how much damage the sharks had done. But when Ladybird went down there she saw that there was almost no damage. Turns out sharks have very long noses and their mouths are set very back.

After the shark incident James and his new friends talked for a long time. But when Centipede was singing a song he started falling of the side of the peach! Thankfully, James saved him by tying a piece of  string to his waist and dropping down.

Soon it became night. They saw cloud men making weather and they didn’t want them to see them, but Centipede shouted to them! They immediately turned around  and saw the huge golden peach. They immediately pelted them with hailstones.

After they floated away from that batch of cloud men they came across another batch of cloud men. These cloud men were painting a rainbow. Unfortunately, the peach crashed into the rainbow and these cloud men pelted them with anything they could get their hands on. One of them taking a perfect shot covered Centipede in purple paint, which dried immediately . They had to do a lot to save themselves.

After they floated away from that batch of cloud men they came across another batch of cloud men. These cloud men were above them this time. They rained down a thunderstorm on them!  Thankfully, they rainstorm had washed off every single inch of pain on the purple Centipede!

Finally, daylight came. And they figured out they had traveled the whole entire Atlantic Ocean in the night and arrived in America!

The people of New York thought a bomb was going to explode on them! There was a plane passenger that sliced through every single string and down they went and believe it or not they landed right on the needle of the Empire State Building!

When the peach was on a truck  millions of kids pounced on the peach. And all that is left of the peach is the stem, where James lives till this date.

The End!
