Red Velvet Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease 2 pans that are 2 inches and round.
  3.  Mix shortening and 1 1/2 cups of sugar together until it is smooth.
  4. Beat eggs into the fluffy batter.
  5. Make a paste from cocoa and red food coloring. Add it to the batter.
  6. Then mix little salt, one teaspoon of vanilla, and buttermilk together.
  7. Add flour to the batter.
  8. Alternate between the flour and the buttermilk mixture until the batter is a good consistency.
  9. Add soda and vinegar to the batter. Fold it. Do not beat or mix.
  10. Pour the batter into the pans. Then put them into the oven. Bake it until it is fully baked.
  11. Let them cool on wire racks.
Frosting
  1. Put 5 tablespoons of flour and milk until it is thick. Stir constantly.
  2. Let it cool and beat 1 cup of sugar with butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract till it is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the cool flour mixture. Beat until it has a good consistency.
  4. Frost the cake when it is fully cooled.
  5. Add desired toppings.
  6. Enjoy!!

Chocolate Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease 2 9 inch pans.
  3. Mix baking soda, baking powder, cocoa, sugar, flour, espresso powder, and salt together in a bowl. Until it is combined well.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla, milk, and vegetable oil into the mixture. Mix on medium speed until combined well.
  5. Reduce speed and add boiling water to the batter. Mix until well combined.
  6. Separate the batter into the 2 pans evenly.
  7.  Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely.
Frosting
  1. Add cocoa to a large bowl. Remove lumps.
  2. Mix butter with the cocoa powder. Make sure it is well combined.
  3. Add 1 cup of sugar to the mixture. Then add 1 tablespoon of milk. Mix on high speed for 1 min.
  4. Repeat until all sugar and milk have been added.
  5. Add vanilla extract and espresso powder to the mix. Combine good.
  6. If it is to dry add more milk, by the tablespoon until it is just right. If it is too watery, then add sugar until it is the right consistency.
  7. Frost the completely cooled cake.
  8. Add desired toppings.

  3. In a bowl mix sugar, butter
